Dr. John Studley

Biography:Dr John Studley has lived in Tirycoed Ward for the past seven years and brings a professional background in environmental anthropology and geography. Much of his career has focused on protecting the natural environment and supporting the interests of local communities. He has previously supported several local campaign groups, including the Tirycoed Campaign Group, the Tynywern Campaign Group and the Save Cilyrychen Quarry Group. Through this work, he gained a strong understanding of local issues and community concerns. Dr Studley has deep Welsh roots, with family connections to Cardiff, Llanddowror Forest and the heritage of Llewelyn ap Gruffudd. As a councillor for Tirycoed, he is committed to listening to residents and representing the ward with a focus on protecting the community, its green spaces and its sense of place.
