COVID 19 RELIEF FUND

Amman Valley Covid Relief Fund

Over recent weeks there has been an outpouring of kindness and desire to help in anyway possible from across the Amman Valley. Many people have been unable to help for a range of reasons such as being self-isolated or now living away from the community.

It is with this in mind that we have taken the steps to launch the Covid Relief Fund to support those most in need within our communities;throughout the Amman Valley.

Cwmaman Town Council have agreed to act as a receiver for donations and to ensure all money is spent on the highest priority issues. These, through engagement with community members and volunteers across the valley, have been identified as:

Priority 1: The purchase and supply of food, sanitary items and other essentials to those most in need.

Priority 2: To support the voluntary action already underway by providing PPE and expenses for fuel to volunteers.

Priority 3: To invest all residual donations into a long-term community asset to help reduce isolation. This has been identified as a community minibus to help create a more connected community.

All donations will be monitored and, once the Covid 19 crisis has ceased, will be published. Cwmaman Town Council are also working in collaboration with Ammanford Town Council and other town and community councils in the valley to ensure everyone benefits from the donations made.

If at all possible, please make your donations via BACS transfer. This ensures that all of the money you donate can go to support those in need. PayPal incurs a percentage fee and fixed fee for each transaction.
